Your Responsibilities:


As a member of the Bridges and Structures team based in Quebec, you will:

Within the port and maritime team, you will report to the Director of Ports and Mining, you will:

Establish connections with clients on existing projects and pursue new project opportunities;

Analyze, design, and evaluate port and maritime infrastructure;

Provide leadership in project direction and manage a team of engineers and/or technicians;

Prepare and manage project scope, schedule, and administration, as well as deliverables such as reports, technical notes, specifications, and tender documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance of project documentation;

Develop conceptual options, preliminary designs, and detailed engineering for projects;

Coordinate the development of deliverables with the project team and review their technical content;

Conduct and lead inspections of existing infrastructure and assist in construction supervision during execution;

Design bulk shiploading equipment, including material handling systems for grain or bulk iron from rail dumpers to conveyor systems, transfer towers, and marine bulk terminals from pit to port.



Requirements:

The ideal candidate for the Structural Engineer, Bridges and Structures position should:

Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

Have a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.

Demonstrate fluency in French (both spoken and written).

Proficiency in English (both spoken and written) is advantageous.

Hold membership with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.

Be familiar with MTQ standards and procedures.

Have proficiency in analysis and design software such as ADA, CSiBridge, SAFI, SAP2000.
