Marketing & Editorial Assistant

Overview
The Marketing & Editorial Assistant supports the marketing team across all department projects. This position is best suited for an individual with some investment experience and knowledge of the financial markets. There will be opportunities to learn more about stocks, bonds and the nuances of the investment industry for the successful candidate, allowing them to develop their asset management understanding. Enthusiasm to learn new skills and collaborating with the Beutel Goodman team members will be key.
Key Responsibilities
• Update presentation slides for our three client channels (Institutional Client Service, Managed Assets, Private Client Group) on a monthly and quarterly basis
• Assist the Content & Communications Manager with ad hoc editing, proofreading and/or fact checking
• Assist in the creation of quarterly commentaries, including prepping files for the client reporting process
• Create monthly email campaigns and assist with posting content to social media
• Assist with the creation and updating of various marketing materials
• Collaborate with the client services teams
• Other Marketing tasks, as needed
Requirements
• A degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications or Journalism
• Experience in the financial services industry and/or completion of CSC course is ideal, but not required
• A willingness to improve knowledge of financial products and the overall investment industry is essential
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional data input accuracy and attention to detail
