Role Description


This is a full-time remote role (could be an onsite/hybrid role if you are in Toronto, Vancouver or Dubai) for an Investment Associate at a client of Worthland Consulting Inc. This client of ours is a leading infrastructure provider that enables institutional and enterprise use cases for digital assets. 


As an Investment Associate, you will be responsible for financial modelling, conducting due diligence, analyzing investments, and providing finance-related support. You will work closely with clients and assist in making strategic investment decisions. Additionally, you will be involved in managing the overall fund operations, supporting the development of DeFi-related products, and engaging in business development activities. Your goal will be to enhance fund performance, manage operational tasks, and support the company's financial strength through strategic investment activities.


Key Responsibilities:


-Fund Management:

  • Oversee the overall management of the fund.
  • Calculate and analyze deals, both completed and upcoming.
  • Assist with financial reporting and performance tracking.


-Product Development:

  • Collaborate with technical teams to manage the development and potential launch of DeFi-related products, including lending systems.
  • Ensure products align with market needs and business goals.


-Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and partners.
  • Support sales and marketing efforts with technical product knowledge.


-Financial Analysis:

  • Conduct financial modelling and due diligence for investment opportunities.
  • Analyze and interpret financial data to support investment decisions.


-Cryptocurrency:

  • Apply knowledge of cryptocurrency to support fund activities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory developments.
  • Educate team members and clients on cryptocurrency-related topics.


-Operations and Legal Liaison:

  • Handle operational tasks, including coordination with legal teams.
  • Manage interactions with lawyers and ensure compliance with regulations.


-Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and customer support teams.
  • Communicate product requirements and priorities to technical teams.


-Investor Relations (if needed):

  • Potentially assist with communications and relations with LPs (limited partners).
  • Address queries and provide updates to LPs as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modelling.
  • Experience in conducting due diligence for investment opportunities.
  • Knowledge of finance and investment principles.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience in the web3 and crypto space is a plus.
