Our client, a well-established, privately-owned construction services provider with over three decades of experience in the Canadian market is hiring a Project Manager to join their team.


They have successfully completed a wide variety of projects, focusing on sectors in the Industrial, Commercial, Institutional and Heavy Civil market segments, with a key focus on Water/Wastewater Construction. Over the years, they have earned a reputation for delivering high-quality results projects, from smaller-scale initiatives to larger developments valued between $1m and $100m, with a key emphasis on maintaining safety, quality, and client satisfaction at every stage.



Responsibilities:


  • Leading safety initiatives for the project team and subcontractors
  • Coordinating and overseeing daily project operations, including planning and scheduling
  • Managing and administering both prime contracts and subcontracts
  • Leading negotiations and awarding of subcontracts
  • Monitoring and managing the project budget and billing processes
  • Overseeing contract-related tasks, such as RFIs, Submittals, and Change Orders
  • Building and nurturing strong, positive relationships with clients, consultants, architects, and subcontractors


Qualifications


  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in Institutional, Commercial, Industrial, and/or Water/Wastewater construction projects
  • Possession of a professional engineering designation (P.Eng), Gold Seal Certification (GSC), or a project management certification (PMP)
  • LEED experience or LEED AP designation is considered an asset
  • Strong understanding of the local construction market
  • Proven experience in managing or supervising large-scale Institutional, Commercial, Industrial, and/or Water/Wastewater projects ranging from $10 million to $100 million
  • Experience with the commissioning and startup of complex mechanical, process, and electrical systems
  • Exceptional leadership, motivational, and mentoring abilities
  • Excellent management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and French
  • A service-driven, results-oriented approach to project delivery
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules
  • Eligibility for security clearances and possession of a valid driver’s license
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
