Job Title: Project Manager (Multifamily Construction)

Location: Calgary, AB


Hays are currently working with an established multifamily builder in Calgary who specialises in both condo and town-home builds.They are currently looking for a Project Manager to join there team.


As a Project Manager, you will oversee multifamily construction projects from contract execution to completion. Your role involves managing costs, design tracking, scheduling, permits, and contract compliance. You’ll collaborate with the project team, including the superintendent and coordinator, to ensure successful project delivery. Additionally, you’ll serve as the direct liaison with clients and consulting teams.


Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight: Manage the entire project lifecycle, from start to finish.
  • Budget and Schedule: Monitor project costs and schedules, ensuring adherence to timelines and financial targets.
  • Procurement: Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop project plans and schedules.
  • Client Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for clients and consulting teams.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the highest safety and quality standards are met throughout the project.
  • Permit Compliance: Track and manage permits required for construction activities.
  • Reporting: Provide regular project updates to leadership and stakeholders.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (asset but not required).
  • Experience: Over 3 years of experience working on multifamily construction projects.

Skills:

  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Understanding of wood frame construction and parkade construction.
  • Certifications: PMP or equivalent certification (asset but not required).
