Are you an experienced Early Childhood Educator with a passion for leadership?
This is an exciting opportunity to take the next step in your career. Our client, a well-established nonprofit childcare facility, is looking for a dedicated Executive Director to oversee operations, manage a team 15 educators to ensure high-quality care and learning experiences for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. This position offers the opportunity to lead a mission-driven organization in a positive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily operations, provide mentorship, and foster a supportive work culture.
- Ensure compliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act and funding program requirements.
- Manage administration, human resources and play a key role in budgeting, grant writing and staff development within a unionized setting.
- Develop partnerships with families, community agencies, and stakeholders to support the facility’s mission.
- Oversee strategic planning, including policy development, quality assurance, and program development and evaluation.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Services, or a related field.
- A minimum of five years of experience in a childcare environment and two years in a management or supervisory role.
- Strong leadership skills, emotional intelligence, and a commitment to social inclusion.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (French is an asset).
- In-depth knowledge of best practices in early learning and best practices.
- Flexibility in scheduling to engage with families and ensure effective leadership.
