Job Title: Data Pipelines for AI & ML Analytics

Location: Canada


Required Skills:


  • Advanced Python Proficiency: Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code; strong understanding of Python libraries and frameworks.
  • Database Integration Experience: Proficient in integrating with various databases such as PostgreSQL and Snowflake; experience with writing complex SQL queries and database optimization.



Preferred Skills:


  • Experience with AI Libraries: Familiarity with AI and machine learning libraries such as LangChain; ability to implement and fine-tune machine learning models.
  • Interfacing with Large Language Models (LLMs): Hands-on experience with using APIs from platforms like OpenAI (e.g., ChatGPT); understanding of LLM capabilities and limitations.
  • Database Configuration and Management: Experience in configuring, managing, and maintaining databases to ensure data integrity and performance.


Highly Recommended Skills:

  • Cloud Computing Expertise: Proficiency in cloud platforms, preferably AWS; experience with services like EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Experience: Proficiency in continuous integration and continuous deployment tools such as CircleCI and Octopus; ability to set up, manage, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines.
  • Containerization and Serverless Computing: Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes and/or serverless computing with AWS Lambda; understanding of microservices architecture.


Responsibilities:

  • Write and maintain clean, efficient, and maintainable Python code.
  • Integrate with various databases such as PostgreSQL and Snowflake.
  • Write complex SQL queries and optimize database performance.
  • Implement and fine-tune machine learning models using AI libraries like LangChain.
  • Use APIs from platforms like OpenAI to interface with large language models.
  • Configure, manage, and maintain databases to ensure data integrity and performance.
  • Work with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and utilize services like EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS.
  • Set up, manage, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using tools such as CircleCI and Octopus.
  • Utilize container orchestration (Kubernetes) and serverless computing (AWS Lambda) within a microservices architecture.
  • Apply DevOps principles and best practices, including automation and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
  • Use version control systems like Git for branching, merging, and pull requests.
  • Debug and optimize code and systems, demonstrating strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Collaborate effectively within a development team and with cross-functional teams, showcasing strong communication skills.
  • Apply understanding of web development and user interfaces to improve the overall functionality and user experience.
