I'm working with a Toronto based, privately held healthcare marketing and communications agency driven by pressing industry issues to source their next Senior Medical Writers. Their team is diverse, bringing expertise from agencies, clinical settings, research, and industry roles, with a mission is to enhance communication between the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare practitioners, and patients, ultimately improving health outcomes.


The Senior Medical Writer (SMW) collaborates with senior management team to deliver marketing and consulting services to pharmaceutical industry clients and their customers. As an integral part of the project team, the SMW engages in business and departmental planning, training and education initiatives, advocacy development, and communication program strategy and execution within specialty therapeutics.


The SMW's strengths lie in a robust health science background and high-level competency in medical writing. This role is highly interactive, requiring collaboration with both senior and junior personnel, client and vendor contacts, as well as physician opinion leaders and patients.


Role Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in Life Sciences or a related health field
  • Experience in medical writing
  • Background in clinical, industry, or agency roles within healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or marketing
  • Experience in marketing or business development
  • Candidates must also be proficient using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) as well as referencing systems (e.g. Zotero)
