One of our direct client is looking to hire Sr. Java Developer in Toronto ON (Hybrid). Please find below job description.


We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Java Developer with a minimum of 12 years of professional experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Java development, particularly in Spring, Spring Boot, APIs, Microservices architecture, and ETL/DWH (Extract, Transform, Load/Data Warehousing). The candidate must have a proven track record of working on data-related projects and be adept at solving complex technical challenges in a collaborative environment.


Responsibilities:

· Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications, focusing on robustness, scalability, and performance.

· Implement best practices in software development, including design patterns, code reviews, and unit testing.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality software products.

· Architect and develop Microservices using Spring Boot and related technologies to build scalable and resilient systems.

· Develop RESTful APIs for seamless integration with internal and external systems.

· Implement ETL processes and design Data Warehousing solutions for efficient data management and analysis.

· Optimize application performance and ensure high availability through efficient coding and architecture.

· Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to deployment and support.

· Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance as needed.

· Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continually improve development processes and techniques.

· Contribute to the improvement of existing frameworks and development practices.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

· Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on Java.

· Extensive experience with Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring MVC.

· Proficiency in building Microservices architectures and developing RESTful APIs.

· Strong understanding of database technologies, SQL, and ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate).

· Hands-on experience with distributed computing, message queues, and asynchronous processing.

· Solid understanding of software design principles, design patterns, and data structures.

· Experience working in Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, JIRA).

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
