About the Job:

We are seeking experienced senior engineers with a T-shaped skill set to join our team. We specialize in developing reliable web services, particularly focusing on our trading API, which is utilized by over 50 investing applications worldwide. As our API deals with real money, ensuring uptime and reliability is paramount. We currently integrate with 25 financial institutions globally and are constantly expanding our network.

Requirements

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have a background in venture-backed startups, with a track record of progressively increasing responsibility in engineering roles. Experience with building heterogeneous API integrations, web scraping, and data normalization would be highly beneficial. Adaptability to ambiguity and rapid changes in project prioritization is crucial. Above all, we seek individuals who can take ownership of critical systems and collaborate effectively with the broader team.

Technologies We Use:

Our primary services are built on typed Python and Django for business logic and ORM, PostgreSQL as our primary database, Redis for caching and queuing, and ECS for infrastructure. Prior experience with these technologies is advantageous.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to achieve defined product goals
  • Share accountability for maintaining operational and reliable services
  • Take ownership of assigned projects and ensure successful outcomes
  • Liaise with the broader organization to clarify requirements and ensure deliverability
  • Continuously enhance your skill set, developing expertise in key areas and gaining a broad understanding of core systems

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a software engineering role, with increasing responsibility
  • Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills
  • Collaborative attitude and ability to maintain a sense of humor under pressure
  • Demonstrated desire to excel and contribute to significant projects
