Public Practice Accountant

Role Description
Our client is a small, well-established public practice firm with high standards of practice and client service. They are seeking a motivated, bright, versatile junior accountant to assist in the preparation of working papers and supporting analysis under the supervision of a senior accountant and/or the managing partner. Over time this would progress to file preparation and more complex tasks by mutual agreement. The firm is a CPA-approved training location, and sponsorship in the CPA program is available to the right candidate. Levels of experience other than junior may be considered.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- CPA designation or in progress
- 1-3 years of experience in public accounting or a related role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet deadlines
