Our client in the professional services industry is looking for a contract based Azure AD Architect to lead the design, implementation, and management of our identity and access management (IAM) framework. This role includes migration from on-prem AD to cloud.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the migration and consolidation projects for AD and Entra, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Architect and manage a global identity design for Active Directory and Entra environments, ensuring robust, secure, and scalable identity solutions.
  • Design and implement IAM policies, procedures, and technologies to support on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
  • Oversee the integration of AD and Entra with other systems for authentication and authorization, ensuring seamless and secure access across all platforms.
  • Develop and implement strategies for directory synchronization and federation services, including SSO (Single Sign-On) and MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication).
  • Provide expertise in identity governance, including role-based access control (RBAC), privileged access management (PAM), and identity lifecycle management.


Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in IAM, with a strong focus on Active Directory and Microsoft Entra.
  • Experience with pre-sales efforts
  • Experience with migration of on-prem AD to Azure AD and global identity designs
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing complex AD and Entra environments, including directory services, group policies, and hybrid identities.
  • Deep understanding of IAM principles, technologies, and standards, including OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, and SCIM.
  • Experience with cloud security and architecture, particularly in Microsoft Azure.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals) are highly desirable.
