General Information:

Work schedule: 40 hours Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Start date: Preferably June 2024.

Internship duration: 3 - 4 months

Mode of work: In person / Onsite

Responsibilities:

Perform mechanism refurbishment activities (control mechanisms of circuit breakers) including but not limited to:

Disassembly, cleaning, inspection of components, replacement of certain components, mechanical and electrical testing, drafting of refurbishment reports.

Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of other high-voltage switchgear equipment.

Any other task as required.

Qualifications:

Vocational diploma in electromechanics or equivalent.

1 year experience in activities related to industrial mechanics, pneumatic and hydraulic fluids, electricity; industrial mechanical and electrical manufacturing and assembly.

Experience in the use of manual crimping tools ("crimper"), electric drills and screwdrivers, vernier calipers

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical diagrams.

Ability to assemble components using assembly drawings and component lists.

A background check will be required prior to hiring.

Assets:

Diploma – Electrical Technician or Electrician

Permit for Use of Overhead Crane

Permit for use of forklift

Work Conditions:

Workplace: Clean, air-conditioned production floor.

Required clothing: Safety shoes and safety glasses (provided by Hitachi Energy).

No possibility of remote work.

Experience in small-format electronics will not be considered.
