Job Description
In consultation with the Executive Director, plans and develops a high quality nursing care service that complies with relevant government legislations, policies and standards, and reflects the organization's vision, strategic direction and resident centred approach.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse with current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario; Bachelor's degree in Nursing; or an equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum 5 years nursing experience, including 1 year experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and Long Term Care Nursing A minimum of 3 years experience as an RN in a leadership and/or managerial or supervisory capacity in a health care setting, preferably in long term care and in an unionized environment Current CPR Certificate completed within one year period) A leadership and management style that is innovative, energetic, honest, participatory, empowering and enabling, as well as a talent for team building Strong conflict resolution skills Computer literacy required Previous experience working with budgets Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; fluency in Chinese a strong asset
