As many banks who have survived the worst of the financial crisis look to position themselves for growth and prosperity in a new banking landscape, there are many exciting opportunities to work with new and existing clients on strategy, transformation, and delivery engagements. With consolidation, regulation, technology advances and significant market-level change, this role is well positioned.
The role will involve applying personal and corporate knowledge and experience to tailor solutions and build partnerships helping our clients gain competitive advantage in their markets. You will help business and technology executives solve key problems within the financial services industry, mentor junior consultants, while building the practice and your career at one of the best places to work.10+ combined years of Financial Services industry and professional services consulting experience including client deliveryRetail bank, credit union, or private equity experience within the Financial Services industry is requiredExperience effectively leading organizations or teams through changeCharacteristics that can spell success for this role:Consultative, analytical, interpersonalResilient, ambitious, enterprisingIntellectually curious and passionate about techStoryteller and engaging content creatorDeliver sales and revenue against an owned target.Actively lead and participate in business development with prospective clients including solution definition, proposal development, pre-sale client meetings, and development of statements of work all to achieve revenue generation goalsCollaborate with Sellers/Account Owners, Practice Leads and other Avanade solution areas to develop and present impactful solution offerings for prospective clientsPartner with regional sales leaders in identifying and closing new opportunities within existing clients as well as drive growth in whitespace accountDrive billable revenue through advisory work (3% of time allocation)Communicate and report pipeline status to advisory executives and management, including budget, risks, and general business issuesAnalyze client’s business needs to identify the underlying problems and recommend optimal solutionsUnderstand the underlying technologies used in consumer banking & capital markets in order to effectively guide vision and roadmap development for clientsBuild on new client successes to scale business development capabilities within the Canada Advisory region (inclusive of Insurance + Capital Markets)Manage and mentor consultants in effective prospecting and selling impactful solutions to financial services organizationsPartner with Practice Leads to define and target the needs of our financial services target audienceSome of the best things about working at AvanadeTop-shelf clients - Our clients accelerate value by being bold, imaginative—and fast.
