This full-time position as a Senior Optical Test Engineer is an opportunity to work in a leading high technology telecommunications company, with a multidisciplinary team that develops a broad range of optical telecommunication products, including next-generation WSS and OCM modules, Amplifier modules, Circuit Packs, ROADMs, SDN White boxes and many other advanced photonic products.
In this role, you will be responsible for…
Designing and implementing optical test and verification strategies for internal customers, to bring leading-edge products from initial design and NPI stages to volume manufacturing.Preparing design verification test plan, executing the test cases and summarizing results to a technical report to either internal or external customers.Collaborating with engineers in the R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality teams, to help meet or exceed the product requirements.Designing and developing advanced testing methods to address emerging applications.Delivering robust, well-documented, scalable optical tests and completed verification and validation on the targeted products using agile development methodologies.Sharing best practices, influencing, and supporting other engineering teams with optical development activities related to process and test automation.Programming automated testing software.What you will bring to the position...
A Master in the following disciplines: Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a related field.3+ years Automation Programming experience with , C# or C++Strong reasoning, troubleshooting and debugging skills.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with ability to drive solutions through cross-functional teams in a rapid-pace environment.Experience with electrical and optical test and measurement equipment.Knowledge of optical components and systems.Advantageous for the position...
