Essential Qualifications

Completion of degree in Civil Engineering or other engineering disciplines directly related to highways and transportation from an accredited Canadian University. Preferably in the discipline of Civil Engineering.

Competence with various computer applications related to engineering (e.g. Microsoft Office, databases, drafting).

Experience related to highway, Geotechnical and/or bridge design, construction and maintenance is an asset.

Experience as an Engineer in Training or similar type position is considered an asset.

If your resume shows education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above, your application may be equally considered.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently

Excellent interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively under pressure


Conditions of Employment

Must possess and maintain a valid Yukon Class 5 driver’s license or equivalent

Must be eligible for registration as an Engineer in Training with Engineers Yukon

Valid Standard First Aid ticket (within 6 months of hire)

Proof of completion of Engineering degree from an accredited Canadian university 


Job Requirements

Willingness to travel throughout Yukon.
