Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory levels and manage stock.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of packages, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed.
- Operate heavy equipment as needed, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Build and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring all items are correctly packed and labeled.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, including loading and unloading trucks.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse distribution processes.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with cycle counting as required.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center is an asset.
- Experience in packing or picking, repackaging, labeling, etc. is an asset.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures is essential.
- Experience with order pickers or similar equipment is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in all tasks performed.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
