ANIMAL CARE SPECIALIST

Full Time - Day Shift (6:30am - 3:00pm with rotating weekends)

We are currently seeking an individual for the role of Animal Care Specialist within the Kemptville production facility. The successful candidate must have a good knowledge of livestock care and be physically capable of handling large bulls. hay, silage and manure handling are part of the regular job duties.

This position requires working a day shift from 6:30am to 3pm and requires working rotating weekends and statutory holidays as scheduled.

Responsibilities include:

Semen CollectionFeeding and caring for bullsOperating farm equipmentSeasonal crop workMechanical and manual barn cleaning
 

Qualifications include, but are not limited to:

High School DiplomaValid Driver's IDStrong agricultural experience, including livestock handling & careAbility and experience operating farm equipment; solid mechanical aptitudeGood communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
