Reporting to the Director, Marketing, the Manager, Marketing is responsible for leading and managing a team as well as coordinating the planning and implementation of all marketing related initiatives.
The Manager, Marketing will be responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of research, advertising, digital marketing, search engine marketing and all other components of the integrated marketing mix. The work of the marketing manager and team will support the ongoing growth of the University including the areas such as Recruitment, Advancement and Alumni Relations, Faculty and Campus Services.
This position requires exceptional leadership and team management skills.
Job Requirements- Bachelor’s degree and preferably a master’s degree in marketing, business or related field plus a minimum of seven years relevant experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Experience managing, coaching, and working collaboratively with a team of marketers as well as experience working with senior executives
- Experience working at an advertising agency is considered an asset
- Post-secondary market and sector knowledge is considered an asset
- Requires excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Resourcefulness in problem solving and the ability to find creative solutions to complex challenges
- Excellent people, organizational, project and time management skills, including the ability to work to tight deadlines managing projects from end-to-end
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communications skills, including the ability to deal sensitively with critical issues.
- Advanced organizational, project management and time management skills, including the ability to work to deadlines.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing marketing plans including proven ability to write, develop and execute coordinated marketing and promotional activities, briefs and plans
- Proven planning, performance management, budgeting, and supervisory skills.
- Knowledge of CRM software and concepts an asset
- Knowledge of Agresso software and reporting an asset
- Experience using Open-Source software an asset
- May require working occasional evenings and weekends and some overnight travel may be required
Additional Information This is a regular, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week. This position has been evaluated at ME-A with a salary range of $94,019 (minimum) to $110,612 (midpoint) to $127,204 (maximum) per annum. Employment offers will normally be made between the minimum and midpoint of the range and are determined by knowledge, experience and internal equity.
