REQUIREMENTS REQUIRED

  • Have a bachelor's degree in special education;
  • Have a teaching certificate or teaching permit;
  • Know the program of the Quebec Ministry of Education;  
  • Not have a criminal record (police references required);
  • Speaking Innu Aimun is an asset.

QUALITIES DESIRED

  • Sense of planning and organization;
  • Analytical capacity to screen, identify and evaluate learning disabilities; 
  • Ability to lead educational activities and evaluate learning;
  • Spirit of collaboration and teamwork.

DESCRIPTION OF TASKS p>

Under the authority of the school management, the holder of the position, while relying on the evaluative conclusions, intervenes with the learners thanks to preventive or re-educative aims, in order to allow for the learner to progress optimally in terms of learning. He or she addresses the learner directly and involves collaboration with the stakeholders concerned (teachers, parents, professionals).

CONDITIONS OF WORK

  • Full-time position;
  • 35h/week;
  • Resettlement assistance provided;
