. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and model a Safety-First Culture by maintaining a safe working environment. Ensure all employees understand and embrace safety and compliance rules . Ensure hazardous conditions are corrected promptly and work toward eliminating employee injuries. Enforces industrial hygiene and environmental policies and programs. Execute strong leadership skills to set site specific strategic goals and objectives, breaking down work, developing schedules, measuring performance, and maintaining right level of workload for employees. Regularly challenge site organizational structure, productivity, KPIs and team competencies to evolve to meet stated and unstated needs Proactively review site specific trends and take customer input to connect the dots to identify improvement and develop action plans to address. Take input of regional trends from Regional leadership and integrate findings into action plans. While effectively managing priorities and time constraints, hold team accountable for outcomes Understand on-site skills levels required for current and future state. Work with team to ensure appropriate competency mix through effective hiring, training and development opportunities. Establish mitigation plans for most likely scenarios with respect to facility, fleet and resources; evaluate execution and make changes as necessary. Conduct “What’s the worst that can happen” exercises and develop response plans to address; establish drills as necessary to check to compliance. Ensure completion and maintenance of records and documentation as required (preventative maintenance sheets, invoices, shipping documents, expense reports, employee certification, site certification, etc). Proficient use of systems to perform duties including time keeping, hourly evaluation forms, filing reports required by the customer and the company (e.g. car counts, on time spots, month end reports, supervisory investigation reports, accident derailment reports). Develop and follow preventive maintenance program for all applicable equipment Performs all necessary business functions to maintain an efficient and profitable operation. Works actively to stay within budgeted guidelines. Maintains a positive relationship with the customer by providing a high level of service and by meeting goals set by the customer and Marmon. Actively plan for and participate in regular customer reporting (ie. Quarterly Business Reviews). Fully understand our customer’s business and Marmon Onsite offerings. Identify and recommend new services or assets as required to best serve customers and continued growth Encourage team members to provide ideas for continuous improvement and use data to drive change and measure impact. Actively support improvement projects and events (LEAN). Create a learning environment that leads to the most efficient and effective work processes

15% Nights or weekend work will be required ensure full management of teams on site.

II. QUALIFICATIONS

The qualifications listed below represent the credentials necessary to perform the essential duties of this position. Min. req 5+ years of progressive experience in a leadership role Demonstrated ability to use math. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software applications Proven track record of positive safety performance; ability to meet customer safety requirements High School diploma or GED equivalent Willing to work overtime and/or nights, weekends, holidays as needed

Preferred:

  Experience in industrial setting Experience in an industrial switch yard or experience loading dangerous goods 4th Class Power engineering certificate
