Your Opportunity:

Our Orthopedic department in Ambulatory Care has exciting news This is a specialized LPN-Orthopedic role where your duties will encompass assessing, planning, implementing, documenting, educating patients, and evaluating care based on facility standards. Your primary focus will be the Orthopedic Department and once you have received enough hours to meet the requirements for the Orthopedic course, we can look at provisions for training. When you are not required in the Orthopedic Clinic you will be provided training in the other Ambulatory Care clinic areas such as Endoscopy; Minor Surgery; infusion clinic; wound clinic; stress lab; colposcopy, ENT and any other clinics that may be added. You'll need to adeptly navigate the complexity of patient needs and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced setting. We reside on Treaty 8 territory and on the traditional lands of the Metis. Description:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year in an Ambulatory Care setting in the past 2 years.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous endoscopy experience.Previous Connect Care experience.Previous Orthopedic experience.
