EBCis actively seeking an experienced Scheduler for our Ontariodivision where he/she can utilize their extensive knowledge tocontribute to the continued success and growth of the organization.The successful candidate will be stationed at the project site inGreater Toronto Area. The Scheduler will be responsible for projectscheduling and planning updating the schedule monthly providing themonthly schedule narrative and supporting the development of claimsfor extension of time and integration of contract changes into theproject schedule.

Theresponsibilities of the Technical Managerinclude:
  • Abilityto understand construction drawings and sequence
  • Developbaseline schedule and maintain monthly progress update schedule
  • Coordinatewith the project manager and site to get the monthlyupdates
  • Abilityto resource load the schedule with material labor andcost
  • Maintainproject schedules and providing complex planning/schedulingactivities throughout the lifecycle of assigned projects ensuringdeployment of resourcescost
  • Coordinateall inputs reviews required for a functional schedule; establishlogic floats and interfaces for all activities and denotingimportantmilestones.
  • Reviewproject activities (actual versus planned) and forecastingcompletion schedules based on a variety of informationsources
  • Useproject scheduling software to prepare and update schedules changesequencing and duration of project activities and provide progressreportsto
  • stakeholders
  • Reviewvendor subcontractor and consultant schedule submitting andincorporating them into overall project schedules while maintainingbusiness relationships with allpartners.
  • Provideregular risk assessments analyzing schedule changes determiningcauses identifying mitigation/recovery strategies and opportunitiesto accelerate completion of thework.
  • Createwhat if scenarios as required to assist the management in makingkey strategicdecisions.


Requirements

SkillsandQualifications

  • Universitydegree in construction or civilengineering.
  • Managementtraining and AACE certification is considered anasset.
  • 7years of related work experience in a planning/scheduling capacitywith construction industry (especiallyinfrastructure)
  • Understandingof project planning methodology in schedule development andsequencing with solid foundations in project control concepts (WBSCPMbased earned value management and costcollecting riskassessment).
  • 7years or more with Highly proficient in Primavera Scheduling andsoftwareapplications.
  • Knowledgeof linear schedule (TILOS) orsimilar.
  • Expertknowledge in MicrosoftExcel
  • Properunderstanding of Earned ValueManagement.

Professional background in communication, marketing, or relateddisciplines; 3-5 years of relevant work experience; Excellentcapacity for analysis and synthesis; Great autonomy and attentionto detail; Demonstrate initiative, rigour, integrity, anddiscretion; Advanced proficiency in English language communicationskills, both written and oral; Demonstrate strong time managementand planning skills and excel in a deadline-driven environment;Develop the ability to tell stories: stories about clients,projects, people and EBC, and incorporate these stories intowritten narratives and supporting graphics within proposals thataddress the unique needs of each client; Strong skillsorganizational skills, and a good ability to effectively prioritizetasks and work on several of them simultaneously; Skills inproofreading, good judgment, and ability to solve problems;Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook,Excel, and Teams); Intermediate knowledge of the Adobe suite(InDesign, Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator); Adaptability andflexibility in terms of working hours; Ability to work underpressure to meet delivery dates.
