The Wetaskiwin Salvation Army Thrift Store is looking for a casual/on call salesclerk who can work as needed. Someone who is able, when requested, to work an 8-hour shift.

DAYS and HOURS of work :

Expected to work weekdays and some evenings and alternate Saturdays.

THIS IS AN ON-CALL RELIEF POSITION WITH NO REGULAR HOURS OR SHIFT

Hours Monday to Wednesday and Saturday are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday & Fridays will be 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sorting, pricing and displaying donations operating cash register process money and interact payments internal customer service general cleaning working in a team setting sales associate

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Certifications:

Completion of Public School (alternative level of education and experience may be acceptable)

Experience:

Up to three months of prior related experience including, experience with warehouse processing or goods distribution and knowledge of lifting guideline are an asset.

Successful candidates, prior to hiring, may be required to provide:

Background check consent A clear vulnerable sector screening A clean driver abstract Completion of our online Praesidium Abuse Training and required Health and Safety training.

PREFERRED SKILLS/CAPABILITIES:

Required Skills/Knowledge:

Customer friendly/people skills Able to efficiently run cash register and interact machine. Able to lift 40 pounds and wear steel toed shoes (PPE) Able to tolerate dust.
