Job Responsibilities:

Review damage reports, prepare and review cost estimates, and plan work to be performedPerform quality repairs on a variety of vehiclesFit weld replacement parts into place using wrenches and welding equipmentRemove damaged sections of vehicles using metal-cutting guns, air grinders, and wrenchesAdjust or align headlights, wheels, and brake systemsRemove damaged fenders, panels, and grillsBolt or weld replacement parts into placeRemove, install, align, and repair panelsAssist Technicians with vehicle construction, surface preparation and application of undercoatsCleaning, detailing upholstery, trim, and hardwareStraighten bent framesFit and secure windows, vinyl roofs and metal trim to vehicle bodiesInspect vehicles for proper functioning, dimensional accuracy, and overall appearanceUpdates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers' publicationsPerform work in a safe manner, based on Trade Safety AwarenessSign off on straight time hours for Apprentices

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years experience in a Body Shop environmentCompletion of Red Seal Journeyperson CertificationUnrestricted drivers license Body Shop and automotive service knowledge and experienceExceptional customer service skillsAdvanced decision-making and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to prioritize and maintain professionalism during high-volume periodsSelf-driven to work independently with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment
