We are seeking a reliable and motivated Medical Lab Assistant to join our cohesive Lab team within the Queen Victoria Hospital in the friendly community of Revelstoke, B.C.

This is a Casual opportunity. Casual means hours are not guaranteed and may vary and shifts may be at short notice. Casual employees are eligible to apply for internal postings including permanent and temporary positions. What will you work on:

The Medical Lab Assistant performs a variety of duties within the hospital, such as taking blood samples from patients, preparing blood and other specimens for analysis, performing routine lab tests, distributing specimens within the Lab and outside Laboratories, operating related equipment, entering data into the Lab Information System (LIS) and performing related clerical duties and ECG testing as required.
