Drake International is looking for Dock Workers/Forklift Operators for our client in Edmonton. If you are reliable, have experience, detail focused and enjoy knowing you are making a difference, then we may have an opportunity for you. 
In this assignment, you will be requested to assist in product receiving, stocking and organizing. This position requires regular bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing and pulling as well as lifting up to 50 pounds throughout the shift. ACCOUNTABILITYAssist with receiving and palletizing and checking in merchandise.Palletize, wrap and tag.Unloading containers and/or trailers Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping pallet area, and workstations tidy.Organize the warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times to include sweeping and dusting.QUALIFICATIONSLegally authorized to work in Canada Proof of clear criminal record check (no older than three (3) months) from time of hireAbility and willingness to work shift work, including evenings and weekends Able to handle heavy lifting up to 75 lbs and perform proper handling techniques to avoid accidents and damage Ability to work in an environment of physical activity, including bending and stretching for extended periods of time Follow all company expectations to promote a safe work environment and perform all work safely in a fastpaced work environment.PPE must be worn at all times. Ability and willingness to work outside in varying weather conditions Must possess a valid forklift certification and have previous forklift experience Must possess CSA approved, steeled toed safety boots Must possess WHIMIS certificateWork efficiently as a team player and be able to work under minimal supervision.Effective in communication.Problem solver with excellent organizational skills.Minimum 6 months of prior, stable experience in a similar position.Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time as well as the ability to bend and carry items weighing 25-50 pounds is required.High school diploma or equivalent is required.Successful completion of a criminal background check.PPECSA approved steel toed bootsSafety VestIf you are qualified and interested in applying for this position, we encourage you to forward your resume.
