About the role

We are looking for a Compliance Officer to work on control tasks related to our operational controls as well as our SOX controls. An important task in our operations that requires tenacity, particular attention to detail and strong organizational and monitoring skills. The incumbent will manage all controls specific to our aluminum sales activities and will have the opportunity to make a significant difference with a direct impact on our commercial operations. He/she will join a dynamic team based in Montreal.

This position is the ideal opportunity to seek relevant experience within our global company and to leverage your curiosity and talents. Reporting to the Manager Commercial Services, Atlantic, your tasks will be as follows:

Ensure the timely completion of daily, monthly, and quarterly activities related to operational management controls, and perform rigorous follow ups

Through your leadership, technical skills, and effective communication, influence the organization to improve the control processes in place while keeping intact the risks they cover.

Engage with stakeholders to resolve detected discrepancies.

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

Bachelor's degree in finance, administration, or any other related field.

2 -5 years of experience in compliance, accounting, or sales and aptitude for communication and customer service.

Ability to address sensitive issues with different business groups.

Intermediate or advanced level skills in Excel

Excellent communication skills

Fluency in French and English

Knowledge of SAP

Ability to adapt and work in a dynamic, demanding, and ever-changing environment.

Good interpersonal skills and ability to be a great team player.

Ability to maintain effective working relationships with colleagues.

Ability to prioritize work, be autonomous and proactive.

Ability to adapt to diverse situations and learn quickly.
