Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a reliable and compassionate individual to join our team as a Contract Casual Driver. As a Contract Casual Driver, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with disabilities or mobility limitations to travel to various destinations within Coaldale and neighboring communities. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need of transportation assistance.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a wheelchair-accessible vehicle to transport passengers to and from their desired destinations.
  
• Provide assistance with boarding and disembarking from the vehicle, including securing mobility aids and ensuring passenger safety.
  
• Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, including regular inspections and adherence to maintenance schedules.
  
• Follow established schedules while also accommodating any necessary deviations or changes as required.
  
• Answer or return phone calls and online inquiries while the bus is inactive.
  
• Communicate effectively with passengers to ensure their comfort and satisfaction throughout the journey.
  
• Uphold the organization's commitment to professionalism, punctuality, and exceptional customer service at all times.
  

RequirementsQualifications:

• Valid Class 4 driver's license with a clean driving record.
  
• Previous experience working as a driver or providing transportation services is preferred but not required.
  
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate and patient demeanor.
  
• Ability to demonstrate sensitivity and respect towards individuals with disabilities or special needs.
  
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  
• Flexibility to work variable hours, including early mornings and some evenings.
  
• Willingness to undergo a criminal record check and provide a vulnerable sector screening if required.
  
• Must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
