Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee our multi-family operations in Calgary. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing and optimizing the development, construction, and operational phases of multi-family residential projects. This role requires strong leadership skills, business acumen, and a deep understanding of the Calgary market dynamics.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Lead and manage the end-to-end development process from concept to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team of professionals including project managers, site supervisors, sales and marketing staff, and administrative personnel.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks within the Calgary multi-family residential market.
  • Financial Oversight: Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial models to optimize profitability and mitigate financial risks.
  • Stakeholder Management: Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders including investors, contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth project execution and compliance with local regulations.
  • Customer Relations: Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that customer expectations are met or exceeded.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Real Estate Development, or related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (minimum 10 years) in managing multi-family residential operations, ideally within Calgary or similar markets.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a demonstrated track record of successfully leading teams and managing complex projects from inception to completion.
  • Excellent financial acumen with the ability to manage project budgets, analyze financial statements, and make data-driven decisions.
  • In-depth knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes related to multi-family residential developments in Calgary.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with a diverse range of stakeholders.
