ENSU 2P01: Introduction to Environmental Sustainability

Compensation 

Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator and Lab Demonstrator positions are paid according to the qualifications that the employee holds. 

· Employees who do NOT hold a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the undergraduate rate - $ per hour. 

· Employees who hold a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the graduate rate - $ per hour. 

· In cases where additional duties are required as part of a Teaching Assistant’s duties, these hours shall be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate. 

Duties 

The duties and responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant shall be in accordance with Article 22 of the CUPE Local 4207, Unit 1, Collective Agreement. These are made up of scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time (including preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking or grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration as may be required.

Qualifications 

Graduate and/or undergraduate degree in Environmental Sustainability or a related degree with transdisciplinary orientation. Experience as a Teaching Assistant at the undergraduate level (letters of reference and course/performance evaluations may be required) is considered an asset. Technological expertise and familiarity with Brightspace, the Learning Management System which this course will be offered on.
