Responsibilities
- Review contract documents
- Coordinate the design of the energy management system
- Writing the controls tender along with the construction team.
- Approve control drawings (schematics, network, etc.).
- Approve control shop drawings (sensors, motorized valves, starters, etc.).
- Coordinate equipment purchases with the purchaser.
- Use installation standards to ensure that subcontractors' bids and installations meet our requirements.
- Supervise the quality and progress of work on site of controls subcontractors.
- Establish detailed scope of work and test procedures to be followed during equipment commissioning,
commissioning reports, balancing, and other trades.
- Help establish the desired sequence of operations of mechanical equipment.
- Coordinate equipment start-ups.
- Commission projects. Ensure optimal system operation.
- Analyze equipment operation at the end of the project and for the follow-up period.
- Maintain and ensure quality control and minimize deficiencies in a project.
- Participate in project energy monitoring meetings.
- Answer service calls and diagnose problems. Route calls to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Manage project warranties, maintenance, and service.

Qualifications
-Degree in Building Systems Engineering or BA in Mechanical Engineering an asset
- Sound knowledge of Mechanical and Plumbing, an asset
- Prior experience installing HVAC/control systems
- Must have own reliable vehicle, and willingness to travel within a 200km radius (Burlington to Oshawa)
- Must be open-minded with regards to work hours. Occasional after hours requirements
