The Department

The Learning Commons is the academic heart of our institution: a place to engage, learn, and discover. We offer supports to help faculty and students engage in teaching, learning, and research, all in one place Our team of librarians and academic support professionals offer a multitude of services including academic coaching, assistive technology, exam accommodations, skills building, and a testing centre.

The Role

The Learning Commons Liaison will provide direct customer service to NWP students, staff, and faculty, and provide tutoring on math and science topics, both in-person and online via Zoom. In addition, the Liaison will refer students to Accessibility Services and help prepare spaces in the Learning Commons for proctored exams as necessary. This is a permanent, part-time ( hours per week) position that will primarily consist of late afternoon/evening shifts, and may involve weekends.
