Chief Engineer – 5* Hotel

Locations: Vancouver, BC

Salary: $100,000

About the Client:

Our client is 5* Hotel who offers elegant accommodations, top-tier amenities, and stunning city views in Vancouver BC. They are searching for a Chief Engineer to oversee the maintenance and operation of all engineering facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the maintenance and operation of all engineering facilities
  • Managing a team of technicians and engineering staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation
  • Developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs to ensure the ongoing functionality of equipment and facilities
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining a safe work environment for staff and guests
  • Managing the budget for the engineering department, including forecasting expenses, monitoring spending, and identifying cost-saving opportunities

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience is preferred
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of building systems
  • Experience managing a team of engineering staff, including hiring, training, and performance management
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues quickly and effectively
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards related to building operations and maintenance
