Location:Variouslocations acrossManitoba

Asan Electrical Inspector you will be responsible for inspectingelectrical systems and installations to ensure compliance withlocal electrical codes safety regulations and standards. Your rolewill be crucial in maintaining safety and operational efficiency inelectrical systems within thejurisdiction.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Inspectelectrical systems installations and equipment to ensure compliancewith local electrical codes safety standards andregulations.
  • Reviewelectrical plans and specifications to verify adherence toapplicable codes andstandards.
  • Conductinspections of residential commercial and industrial electricalsystems at various stages of construction andinstallation.
  • Identifyand document violations deficiencies or hazards in electricalinstallations and recommend correctiveactions.
  • Preparedetailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records ofinspections and enforcementactions.
  • Providetechnical guidance and support to electricians contractors andproperty owners regarding electrical codes and safetypractices.
  • Respondto inquiries and complaints related to electrical installations andcodecompliance.
  • Staycurrent with changes in electrical codes regulations and industrybest practices to ensure accurate inspections andrecommendations.
  • Collaboratewith other municipal departments and agencies to address andresolve electricalrelatedissues.


Requirements
  • Relevantcertification or diploma in Electrical Inspection ElectricalEngineering or a relatedfield.
  • Provenexperience as an electrical inspector or in a similar role with astrong understanding of electrical codes and safetyregulations.
  • Excellentobservational and analytical skills for assessing electricalinstallations and identifyingissues.
  • Strongcommunication skills for interacting with electricians contractorsand municipalofficials.
  • Detailorientedwith strong organizational skills for managing inspection reportsandrecords.
  • Abilityto stay current with evolving electrical codes regulations andindustrypractices.
