Hudbay Minerals Inc. is seeking a Radio Technician at our Copper Mountain Mine in Princeton, BC. This position is a 7x7, 12-hour, day shift.
Please note that this opportunity is NOT a fly-in-fly-out position.

Location
Copper Mountain Mine is located near the town of Princeton, British Columbia at the center of the scenic Similkameen Valley. Princeton is a community-oriented town with a diverse offering of activities, especially for those who love the outdoors. Princeton is also in close proximity to both the city of Vancouver and the Okanagan.
Summary
Reporting to the Mine Maintenance Supervisor, Shovels & Drills, the Radio Technician will be responsible for supporting the implementation, maintenance, and repair of various technology on the mine side of the property at Copper Mountain Mine.
Responsibilities
On a daily basis, preventatively maintain, troubleshoot and repair the technological equipment the mine relies on every day to safely and effectively carry out operations including, but not limited to: Pit mesh network (Wi-Fi) infrastructure 2-way radio communications Modular Dispatch Provision GPS MineSense TyreSence Work with the various groups on site to optimize the use of technology currently on hand as well as propose value-added new and replacement technology to enhance our operations into the future, Support the relocation of technology hardware as mining advances or surrounding infrastructure is modified, Support the expansion of new mine technology by providing sound recommendations during the scoping and engineering phases as well as installation support during the implementation, Work effectively with various other site departments, Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.Education & Experience
Grade 12 or equivalent education, Related Red Seal certification or demonstrated skills qualification though hands-on experience, Good computer skills and experience using Google Workspace, Previous experience with the systems listed above is an asset, Possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license and have access to personal transportation, Training will be provided for the job-specific tasks.Required Skills

Primarily field-based with frequent exposure to Maintenance Shop, Field Maintenance, Mine Operations, and office environments, Outside in all types of weather and lighting conditions, Working at heights with fall arrest, Exposure to hazardous environments with the requirement of wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Rate of Pay
$52.58 / hr. (Red Seal Rate).
