JOB DESCRIPTION

AAA Canada is looking for an Avionics Technician with experience to join our team.

Responsibilities

Support the Vehicle and Avionics engineering team to validate the installation and proper functioning of the avionics system  Diagnose design and integration problems, and avionics equipment failures on our simulators and associated systems Suggest corrective actions for equipment problems and establish them when approved Make minor changes to solve some avionics system problems  Coordinate the required work to correct the problems found  Participate in the laboratory material test platforms definition and fitting  Interact with the material engineering department, responsible for flight simulators  Manage equipment test inventory and participate in the equipment acquisition process

Skills and qualifications

College diploma in Avionics Technician Ability to read schemes and other avionics technical documents Knowledge in avionics system and associated terminology Knowledge in different communication protocols such as ARINC-429, ARINC-664, RS-232, CAN, MIL-1553 and network communication like TCP/IP Ability to use electronic test equipment and user diagnostic software Excellent ability to analyze the root causes of a problem while the investigation process Ability to work as a team Excellent knowledge in MS Office and associated tools

Required experience

Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing or industrial sector.
