Drake International is looking for a reliable, committed, and enthusiastic individual that is capable of leading a team in our client’s distribution center in Whitby, Ontario.If you are a dependable and hardworking individual with previous experience in a warehouse team-lead or supervisory role, then this may be a great opportunity for you.Reporting to the Logistics Recruitment Supervisor/Account Manager, the Warehouse Team-Lead will:Oversee and coordinate the daily warehousing activities, including lumping operations, attendance & punctuality tracking, and the accurate logging of the necessary receiving/lumping paperworkEnsure that all safety guidelines and procedures outlined by both Drake International and the client are being strictly adhered to. This includes the use of PPE and ensuring that no cell phones or in ear/over ear devices are being used when on the floor. Schedule and assign tasks accordingly to shift members Monitor lumping operations to ensure compliance with company/client’s policies and quality standards as well as taking corrective actions whenever necessary.Manage and resolve conflicts among team members while promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.Lead continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process optimization and implementing solutions to increase efficiencyMaintain a good working relationship between the Drake lumping team and our client’s management team by conducting daily check-ins (preferably at the beginning and end of every shift) to ensure that the client’s requirements are being met. Conduct a daily check in with Drake management at the beginning of every shift to communicate the attendance of the team.Assist in the training and onboarding of new employees to ensure this process is as seamless as possible and that all shift members are up to speed with what is expected of them.Oversee the daily actions of all shift members including performance management.Complete other additional tasks that are relevant to the role.Qualification and RequirementsMinimum of 1-year prior experience in a similar capacity (Team-Lead/Supervisor)Strong communication skills and ability to work in a teamAttention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of health and safety procedures in a warehouse environmentPhysically able to bend, squat, push, pull, reach, and lift up to 40-50lbs throughout the shift Willing to take a criminal background checkMust have a high school diploma or equivalent certification Must have CSA approved steel-toed safety boots Shift Timings: Afternoon Shift (3PM – 11PM) 5 Times a week Location: Whitby, ONSalary: $19hr plus a Bonus incentive ($4 dollars extra for every hour worked when certain conditions are met). Bonus incentive max is $160 per week. You will be paid each Friday for previous week’s work.Date of assignment start: Starting ASAPIf you are qualified and interested in applying for this position, we encourage you to apply today.Drake International would like to thank you for your submission.
