The Buildings & Grounds Cleaner supports an exceptional guest experience by providing a safe, clean and professional-looking facility for guests visiting the Banff Gondola.

This position is available immediately, on full-time basis.

What will you do in this job?

Ensuring that all Gondola grounds and facilities are kept tidy and clean to provide guests with a high-quality experience.

Performing established daily cleaning tasks for all guest and team member areas. Such as washrooms, eating areas, offices, and common areas. Ensure task lists are maintained and up to date.

Vacuuming of floors, sweeping, and mopping. Empty garbage bins and maintaining the recycling program on an ongoing basis.

Following all safety rules and procedures. Notify Manager or Supervisor on duty of any safety hazards or concerns.

Monitoring cleaning supply inventory. Replenish/restock cleaning supplies when required.

Sweeping or shovel exterior decks, walkways, and parking lot as required.

Watering of plants as required.

Assisting with evacuation procedures in the event of an emergency.

Answer guest questions regarding the Banff Gondola and surroundings area.

Other duties as assigned.

What skills and experience do you need for this job?

Bring a positive attitude with strong customer service skills.

Detail orientated.

Self-motivated with the ability to perform tasks with minimum supervision. Possess the physical ability to perform all cleaning tasks in an assigned time Proven ability to work within strict policy/procedures and guidelines WHMIS knowledge and cleaning experience an asset A clean Driver’s License required; Alberta Class 4 License an asset To honour our commitment to be “Always Honest” all employees must consent to a criminal record check

What will your work environment be like?

Beautiful. You’ll work in iconic, unforgettable and inspiring locations. You’ll see amazing scenery and wildlife. You’ll participate in team events – and fun  Independent. You’ll spend your days in and around National Parks Remote. Our home is filled with trees, lakes and blue-bird skies; rather than buildings, freeways and smog. Connect with friends around a bonfire instead of through WiFi  Busy. You need to be prepared for a physical working environment with walking, stair climbing, bending, reaching, lifting (up to 50 pounds with assistance) required
