Responsibilities:

Strive to exceed service standards by supporting staff and monitor that service staff are adhering to the standards Provide training of protocols, policies, and procedures to all staff members Ensure staff have complete knowledge of menu offerings and are confident offering suggestions Develop employees and provide ongoing staff training in the form of daily coaching and employee feedback Effectively address members concerns and complaints immediately; communicate member concerns with management in a timely manner as part of the member feedback process Actively contribute to department teamwork including communication and collaboration with the culinary team Assist management with daily food & beverage administrative duties as required, not limited to, but including opening, mid-day and closing duties of staff members and supervisory end-of-night closing procedures Ensures compliance with all Glencoe Health and Safety standards, the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety regulations and the Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission License requirements

Qualifications:

ProServe Certification is required A proven track record, with a minimum 2-3 years food & beverage experience and a minimum of 1 year experience in a supervisory or leadership role A diplomatic, professional and outgoing personality; someone who is able to foster relationships with members and employees A team player who can lead, organize and engage in the delivery of training, development and maintenance of service standards Must be comfortable handling service recovery in response to member concerns Ability to make decision independently while displaying strong leadership skills Knowledge of golf courses and golf etiquette is considered an asset Standard First Aid & CPR-C Certification is considered an asset Reliable transportation is required as there is no public transportation to our location

This is a full-time seasonal position; employment will conclude at the end of the golf season (middle of October weather permitting). The position will include weekday, weekend and evening shifts, so a flexible schedule is required.
