Job Title: Medical Device Assembler

$19 per hour | Mississauga, ON

Job Description

Join our team in a critical role where you will assemble and inspect medical devices according to approved manufacturing protocols. In this position, you are expected to follow written protocols, operate testing equipment, and use various measuring tools to assemble parts on the production line. This role requires good hand-eye coordination as you will handle very small parts. You will rotate through different areas of the production line to learn all aspects of the assembly process and to aid in cross-training. Additionally, you will work in the packaging line. This position demands the ability to keep up with a fast-paced environment where up to 1000 products are sometimes produced per day.

  • Communication (reading and writing in English)
  • Minimum 1 year of small part assembly experience

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Months, if you perform well then there is opportunity to go permanent with the company.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Mississauga, Ontario.

Work Environment

The work environment consists of approximately 40 assemblers in each department. It is a fast-paced, clean, and well-lit setting that emphasizes teamwork. The environment requires maintaining high cleanliness standards. Dress code is neat and professional with a comfortable, less formal style. Specific attire requirements include wearing hair nets, latex gloves, masks, and lab coats at all times, with no makeup, jewelry, or nail polish allowed. Business casual attire is required, and no jeans are permitted. Training includes Quality Management System training on quality protocols via an iPad during the first week, followed by on-the-job training and shadowing with a senior assembler, you will be well supported during training
