Job Description

The Saskatchewan Cancer Agency provides leadership in health promotion, early detection, treatment and research for cancer. The Cancer Agency operates two treatment centres: the Allan Blair Cancer Centre in Regina and the Saskatoon Cancer Centre.

Population Base:
The population of Saskatchewan is approximately 1.2 million. The Allan Blair Cancer Centre provides comprehensive cancer care to those living in the southern part of the province. The Saskatoon Cancer Centre provides comprehensive cancer care to those living in central and northern part of the province.

Job Duties:
The Saskatchewan Cancer Agency is looking for a General Practitioner - Oncology to join our team. The General Practitioner - Oncology will work with in a multidisciplinary team to provide safe patient-centered care. In collaboration with the oncologist, they will participate in daily rounds, provide care to oncology hospital in-patients and Cancer Centre outpatients. The outpatient role involves primarily assessment and follow-up care.

Job Qualifications

Education:

Degree in medicine with subspecialty certification in Family Medicine. Credentials: Must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan. Must be eligible for membership and privileges with the Saskatchewan Health Authority. Other: Criminal record check CMPA Coverage
