We at Napsteel are looking for a Shipper/ Receiver (Entry-Level Position) who is a driven team member who shares our champion mindset and values. This successful candidate will be responsible for administrative work requiring meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Arrange booking of trucks, organizing the route, coordinating with production for material ready time, etc.
  • Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials.
  • Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes.
  • Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
  • Local dispatching support and backup
  • Assist with various other shipping records
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Very high attention to detail
  • Excellent computer skills; comfortable using Microsoft Office and ability to learn specialized inventory software
  • Extremely well organized, able to work independently or as a team with a high level of initiative and flexibility, and willingness to take on new tasks
  • Self-motivated & able to problem solve within a fast-paced, constantly changing plant environment
  • Strong communication skills: very good handwriting, good telephone manners, and excellent command of English (oral and written)
