POSITION SUMMARY
The seven health-partners in the Georgian Bay Information Network (GBIN) recognize that a major, system-wide clinical transformation is needed to achieve high quality patient care, with evidence based integrated technology solutions across the system. This clinical transformation will meet information needs of both the health partners and the region. GBIN, a shared Health Information System, will support the “patient centered, clinically aligned, digitally transformed care” vision identified by the partners’ clinical leadership.
The Transformation Management Office (TMO) Lead, under the direction of the HIS Steering Committee, ensures that the project is on the right path to realize the targeted Transformation Agenda for the HIS, and targeted benefits. It is the TMO Lead’s primary role to advance and monitor the transformation’s quantitative benefits. This individual works closely with the Project Director, Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO), Chief Nursing Informatics Officer (CNIO), Project Management Office (PMO), the Change Manager, and Clinical Informatics Leads.
Reporting to the GBIN Project Director, the TMO lead is a strategic leader who ensures that the digital initiatives align with the organization’s clinical goals. This role encompasses change management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement. They oversee the planning and execution of clinical transformative goals, working closely with senior management to define objectives.
This role will primary work remote with the occasional onsite requirement for training, go-live support or transformation meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Bachelor’s degree. May consider applicable clinical or other healthcare experience in lieu of degree. Two years’ relevant experience Project Management courses/certification preferred HIS experience – at least 1 prior implementations or long-term experience with HIS support Strong Transformation Management experience Strong communication and organizational skills Strong experience with KPIs management Past success with large-scale system projects Communicate with people effectively Motivate team members See the positive in what is new and different Focus on what the system does and not what it does not do Reinforce the importance of the project together with the executives and the Project Executive, and provide consistent communication to the project team Provide perspective on common challenges and strategies for success Approach problems constructively by focusing on how to move the project forward Appropriately match team member skills to team responsibilities Show appreciation for the team’s efforts Are well-respected within the organization Match organizational needs to the system’s functionality Explore and analyze alternatives Recent satisfactory performance and attendance record Adherence to Brightshores ‘CARE’ Behaviours (Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Excellence) and ‘LEAD’ Competencies (Lead by example, Empower, Achieve results, Develop others) and a commitment to a safe workplace free of violence and harassment Advocates and supports a culture of patient safety and demonstrates an understanding of how the department service and assigned responsibilities contribute to overall patient safety at Brightshores through patient safety knowledge, skills and attitudes-
