Wash Bay Attendant / Bus Cleaner

Location: Hazelton, BC

PWTransit is currently seeking a casual Wash Bay Attendant to join our team in Hazelton. The shift for this position is Sundays, 6 hours per week.

Wage: $22.25 per hour

Duties:

Responsible for the fueling and cleaning of the interiors and exteriors of company equipment.

Clean the interiors and exteriors of various vehicles Fuel and check all fluid levels as determined by cleaning and fueling procedures Clean interior / exterior of bus advertising and back lighting; report any interior lights that are not working; replace interior & exterior advertising signs when instructed to do so As part of the vault dumping procedures, must “probe” buses and “dump” vault canisters into vault receiver unit Clean the main shop facility area May be required to “pre-trip” a bus Miscellaneous building cleaning duties, dumping trashcans and washing floors when assigned Cleaning engine compartments, undercarriages, wheels, and vehicle parts cleaning Sanitization of buses in compliance with Provincial Health regulations

Qualifications:

Must have a Class 5 driver's license or higher Ability to understand, speak, and write English in-order-to communicate effectively with the traveling public and to report on incidents involving safety and/or service No criminal convictions or pending charges relating directly to the Wash Bay Attendant position Previous cleaning or detailing experience considered an asset
