Plastics Labourer

Responsibilities:

Ensure to be prepared and report to respective workstations at appointed time; Operate and attend to manual and automated equipment in the manufacturing process operation. Perform all functions as designated by the Company’s instruction while operating specified equipment. Load and unload items from machines and assembly lines. Understand and inspect the product through specified manufacturing specifications, recognizing areas of defect and taking appropriate actions to rectify them. Determine and report product and equipment malfunctions to the appropriate authority Perform routine maintenance and inspection on equipment Maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned work area at all times. Work effectively as part of a team to ensure productivity and efficiency. Assure the daily and weekly production schedule is adhered to. Follow all standard operating procedures and designated organizational as well as provincial and federal safety guidelines. Ensure all equipment is operated according equipment manufactures instructions and safety guidelines are followed. Complete various paperwork and reports Participate in educational and training opportunities applicable to the position.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment Ability to work in a fast paced environment Understand plant safety guidelines and pass all required safety training Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions Troubleshoot problems and report issues Must work well in team environment

Physical Requirements:

Ability to be on feet up to 8-12 hours per shift Use of hands and fingers to perform job function Ability to stoop, kneel, bend and climb Ability to lift up to 50lbs
