Responsibilities may include: Provide coaching and support in the areas of social skills, communication and leisure activities. Provide solutions to barriers impacting achievement of quality of life, ensuring Personal Outcomes are met for each individual Administer medication as per procedureFollow Behavioral and Crisis Protocols as documented Develop and maintain positive relationships with families, supports and community membersEducation and Experience Qualifications:Completion of a Human Services Diploma from a recognized Community College or University or a Personal Support Worker certificate from a Community College or from a registered and Ministry approved Private Career College; OR Completion of Ontario Secondary School (or equivalent) and 1 year of related experience (preferably supporting people diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder)Knowledge Requirements:Solid written and verbal communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a teamWorking Conditions/Physical Requirements: Must have the ability to physically support adults with Autism Spectrum DisorderMust have the ability to complete the Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification, as well as perform the required physical techniques.
