Mastronardi BerryWorld America, North America’s leading grower and distributor of greenhouse produce, has created a partnership that will “WOW” the North American berry market.

Our Kingsville Head Office Location is currently seeking a Grower Liaison to join our Procurement team. The essential function of this position is to support the berry procurement process in Canada at the farm level for Mastronardi Produce. This individual is responsible for a wide variety of duties including but not limited to this job description.

Primary Responsibilities:

Function as the growers’ first point of contact and cultivate a professional relationship of trust. Routine travel to growers in Canada and USA to inspect production, product, packaging inventories and compliance with company standards. Assist procurement personnel with supply chain management, purchase orders, logistics, grower calls, and projection of products. Communicate with growers about crop management, timelines, quality and projections. Ensure grower estimates and purchase orders are accurately entered into the grower supply portal in a timely fashion. Production tracking - daily/weekly reports communicating all pertinent information concerning crop performance. Work closely with Commodity Planning, Sales, Quality and Varieties teams on various projects. Support Procurement team with general tasks and duties. Daily/Weekly inspection of direct loads entering MPL and 3PL facilities. Liaison farm information back to commodity planning, sales, and procurement management Attend daily, weekly, and monthly meetings for the procurement department.

Position Requirements:

Full G-Class driver’s license Must have valid passport. Willingness to travel. Valid Travel documentation Computer skills ( Microsoft Office: Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) required. Diploma in agriculture or farm management equivalent experience – a definite asset Knowledge on soft-fruit cultivation – a definite asset Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Working Conditions:

Office, field, greenhouse, and pack house environments Capable of lifting at least 25 lbs. Position requires sitting, standing, walking, and bending on a regular basis. Must have manual dexterity to perform computer skills
