PositionSummary:

Employalis seeking a motivated and detailoriented Transportation LogisticsCoordinator/ Dispatcher to manage and optimize our transportationoperations. The ideal candidate will ensure timely delivery of goodwhile maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction andoperationalefficiency.


Keyresponsibilities:


RoutePlanning: Develop and optimizetransportation routes to ensure timely deliveries while minimisingcosts.

DispatchOperations: Assign and scheduledrivers to ensure efficient dispatching of vehicles for deliveriesand loading of trucks Perform physicalinventorycount.

Process shippingdocuments for DHL Purolator UPS and FedEx electronically ormanually for domestic and internationalshipments.

Communication:Maintain clear communication with drivers customers and warehousestaff regarding shipment statuses and any potentialdelays.

ProblemResolution: Address and resolveany logistical issues or challenges that arise duringtransportation including delays or routing changesSpecial requests or shipments outsideroutine.

Documentation:Prepare and maintain accurate shipping and delivery documentationincluding bills of lading and shippingmanifests.

Monitoring:Track shipments in transit using GPS and other tracking systemsproviding realtime updates tostakeholders.

CustomerService: Provide exceptionalservice to customers addressing inquiries and concerns related totransportationlogistics.

Compliance:Ensure all transportation activities comply with local state andfederal regulations and companypolicies.

Reporting:Generate reports on transportation metrics including delivery timescosts and service levels for managementreview

Update ITlogistics systems accordingly and print documents asneeded.

Safety:Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures and communicate anyunusual conditions and potential safetyhazards.



Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics supply chainmanagement or a related field is aplus.
  • Provenexperience in transportation logistics or dispatching preferably inTransportationindustry.
  • Strongorganizational and multitasking skills with attention todetail.
  • Excellentcommunication and interpersonalskills.
  • Proficiencyin logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite Excel WordEtc.
  • Abilityto work independently and as part of ateam.
  • Knowledgeof DOT regulations and safetycompliance.


Experience in a warehouse environment required (minimum 1 year) LTLloading experience is an asset Logistics/ Transportation warehouseexperience an asset Knowledge of shipping documents an asset Strongwork ethic High school education or equivalence English languageproficiency Attention to detail and accuracy of recordedinformation Ability to work effectively independently as well aspart of a team Comply with safety legislation as per the OntarioHealth and Safety Act and company policy experience in loading,cross-docking, and unloading freight to maximize the efficientdelivery of customer goods while maintaining a safe workenvironment

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics, supplychain management, or a related field is a plus.
